USA: an unexpected increase in the index of producer prices in August
According to the Ministry of Labor, released on Friday, was recorded in August, an unexpected increase in the producer price index. Such an increase has contributed to the rise in prices of food and energy. Thus, the producer price index rose 0.3% after July, the indicator remained unchanged. Economists forecast regarding this value was 0.2%. Meanwhile, the core producer price index, which excludes prices of food and energy prices in August remained at the same level. In July, the indicator showed an increase of 0.2%.
